Been wanting to add something unique to your next batch, but just not sure what that should be?  Well let us recommend our Blood Orange Candi Syrup!  This syrup goes well with numerous different beer styles, including (but certainly not limited to): Wheats, Pale Ales, IPAs and Blondes.  Provides a subtle citrusy aroma with a mild, but noticeable, sweet orange flavor.

For the most flavor impact add to the fermenter, ideally after high Krausen has passed.

Also check out our Blood Orange Belgian that features this syrup in the kit recipe.

Made in the USA by Cascade Beer Candi Syrup.

Is it better to add to secondary and allow
it to ferment out or at bottling?
kelly beaubien on Apr 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: At the brewery I add it in whirlpool when the temperature drops below 200. Excellent results. Run whirlpool 10-15 minutes after adding to allow it to fully dissolve. Cheers

Didn't work for me
Added all of it day 3 of fermentation. Thought I read to do that on cascades site. In any case, gave a nice bump to abv but I've had 6 people try it and no one has been able to taste orange.

Product arrived without crystals, some have mentioned, and a deep orange color. Perhaps an ounce had leaked out into the box (no big deal)

Used in wheat brew. Delicious
Added during last 5 minutes of boil. Turned out great and will do again for a nice summer beer.

When it arrived it was about 3/4 crystallized, not sure if this is normal but it sure doesn’t look like it.

Not very bloody
More a golden color than what is pictured on the site, and a bit weak in orange flavor. I compensated by adding sweet orange peel to the boil.

Love It
Love the authentic flavor but made the mistake of using it in a Belgian that overpowered the flavor. Added several to the secondary in stages. Will try this again in a blonde or wheat recipe that will allow that nice orange flavor to come through.

Helped me win gold in fruit beer!
This tasty addition to my american wheat fruit beer did a great job in securing a gold medal in the 29B category for the local brew competition. An great addition to a summer time ale.

"Great Beer! Complex, unique, balanced very enjoyable."

"Hibiscus, blood orange and hop flavor is balanced by sweetness, finished dry and leaves me wanting more."

used in 2 recipes
I used 8oz in each, a wheat and American Pale Ale 2. First batch followed makers directions from their website but didn't like the results. Next recipe added remaining 8oz(i had to warm it up because it crystalized) 5 min before flameout. Added a nice subtle flavor and bumped up abv.
