The stainless steel Bucha Tank is purpose-built for kombucha fermentations. It features a removable dust cover and cloth-lined lid so your SCOBY gets all the oxygen it needs to keep it happy, healthy and fermenting away. The acidic nature of kombucha fermentation can lead to corrosion or leeching in other vessels, but you won't run into those issues with the Bucha Tank thanks to the 100% stainless steel interior and stainless steel spigot. Perfect for the continuous brew method, the spigot will allow you to transfer out your finished batch without disturbing your culture. Simply fill the tank back up with fresh tea and keep the booch coming!

Please note that with the spigot in place the spout dips below the bottom of the tank itself. We highly recommend using the Bucha Tank with the available support stand, or plan to use the tank on a benchtop or other raised surface.

  • Removable cloth liner
  • 304 stainless steel construction

50L tank works well
The tank arrived quickly and in good condition. The tap and fastening hardware were in a sealed plastic bag inside the tank. Installing the tap was straightforward. I was able to hand-tighten the tap into place, although the last quarter turn to get it aligned vertically required some oomph. The system is well-designed and has now operated for a month without a hitch. I had wondered if the mesh aperture on top (which is smaller than the tank diameter) would allow enough oxygen in--it does. My first 40L kombucha batch took off like a rocket (very rapid fermentation). For the price, it is a well-made, easy-to-keep-sterile piece of equipment. I recommend it for home brewers wanting to maintain a large batch size or for commercial operations wishing to experiment with new recipes at a smaller scale.
