Description

Clean, highly flocculent, and highly attenuative yeast. This yeast is similar to WLP002 in flavor profile, but it is 10% more attenuative. This eliminates the residual sweetness, and makes the yeast well suited for high gravity ales. It is also reaches terminal gravity quickly. 80% attenuation can be reached even with 10% ABV beers. A recommended nutrient schedule is to add Servomyces to the kettle at the end of the boil, and then follow that with a 6 grams per 5 gallons addition of Fermaid K half-way through the fermentation. This nutrient schedule acts as a supplement to your yeast for exposure to high alcohols. Think of giving your yeast nutrients as having a water break while running the marathon.

Attenuation: 80-85%
Flocculation: High
Optimum Fermenation Temp: 65-70.
Wyeast Equivalent: None

For best results we always recommend ordering an ice pack with your liquid yeast.

This yeast is a monster. Given a big enough starter it will churn through a 1.065 beer to 1.012 in a week.

This yeast is a beast. Used it on a Imperial Stout with an SG 1.100 and it pretty much blasted through fermentation in about 24 hours. I thought it had stalled but I just let it go for a total of 10 days and my FG was 1.026. Great yeast! By the way the beer was awesome.

Cali Mountain stout
Used it for the Cali Mountain Stout kit. Instantly hitting coffee and slight toffee notes. The beer is still conditioning but the desired flavors came out already. One disadvantage is the WL packages is that other brands such as WYeast use a packaging system that will make it easier to get everything out of the plastic package into your yeast starter or wort, without having to squeeze it out like toothpaste.

Get some!
Works every time. I’m a guy who uses dry as well live yeast. I’ve never been disappointed with either. What I use depends on Tim of year and/or what I m brewing?

Amazing, highly flocculant yeast.
This yeast is crazy. I brewed an Imperial stout (OG 1.100) and it was pretty much done fermenting in less than two days. I thought I had a stalled fermentation but decided to just let it go and after 20 days FG was spot on at 1.028. I will definitely be using this again and would recommend to others to give it a try.

Good for Drier English Ales
This yeast works well if you are trying to clone some of the classic, Drier English Ales & Bitters. Since it Flocs like WLP002 (very high) and the attenuation is high, it can also be used in many APA's & IPA's. It is also fairly fast to hit FG and drop out of the wort. I use this one a lot.
As usual, MoreBeer got the yeast to me still cool on the ice pack, I use White Labs Yeasts for all brewing and have never had any shipping problems with my yeasts.

Great Yeast
I mix this yeast with stater bros apple juice and little brown sugar and I get some great cider every month. Cider is super easy and cheap and it keeps my kegs full and gives me something to drink between batches of beer. My wife really likes the cider and it gives me something to give guests who aren't big beer drinkers.

Awesome Yeast
I almost always use dry yeast for the ease of it. But recently did a Pale Ale that suggest this, so I gave it go.

Got awesome results. Might be re-evaluating my dry yeast usage.

my favorite ale yeast
I love this yeast. It is versatile enough to ferment super clean at the lower temp range or give some more English estery stuff at the top of the range. Able to attenuate down to a nice dry IPA FG.
Great choice for a house yeast IMHO
