Great Valve
I have been on the fence as to whether I really need this... but I'm glad I made the purchase. The valve stem has a teflon plug/seal w/ a single black rubber gasket. It can be hard to work if dry, but works great if wet w/ starsan or CIP lube. Using this is a whole lot easier to control flow vs a 1.5" butterfly valve when pulling samples. Quality is really nice (shiny and heavy), it's a solid addition to my fermenting equipment.

Problem with O-rings
The valve assembly all in all is pretty good. It's sturdy and has helped me prime my March pumps. Also, I can see using it for other purposes in my brewery. The problem is, it has two rubber O-rings on the shaft that spins in/out to open/close the valve. The innermost O-ring shreds and breaks almost every brew day. I've tried lubricating the threads and rings with CIP lube, I don't use it dry, and I've been cautious about over tightening it. No matter what I do that O-ring falls apart. I haven't had any leaking yet, but it's annoying that I have to replace it after every brew day. It came with a pack of replacement O-rings, but I'm burning through them pretty fast.
