If you’re going for a custom-made Belgian style beer you’ll want to keep some of this dry yeast on hand.
Safbrew S-33 is a great yeast strain for Belgian style beers, such as Belgian wheats and Trappist-style Ales. Provides the characteristic phenolics of beers in Belgium.
This is marked as directly pitchable yeast and there are no rehydration instructions.
Instructions for rehydrating yeasts: Suspend yeast in 4 oz of warm water. Do not stir. Let stand for 15 minutes. Stir gently. Add an equal amount of wort to your solution. Cover, let sit for five minutes, and pitch.
