Description

Are you looking for an awesome, easy-to-use, single vessel system to brew 10-gallon batches?  The BrewZilla is the answer! This all-in-one electric brewery is the next generation of Robobrew units and comes with various improvements to electronics, components, handle design and many other aspects. The BrewZilla features built in elements for heating and boiling, programmable mash schedule and delayed start, a built-in pump for recirculation, an onboard water-resistant control panel for setting and monitoring temperatures, a removable grain basket, and a built-in spigot for transferring. The compact design makes this unit easy to store when not in use.  Not brewing 10-gallon batches every brew day? No problem! The BrewZilla works just as well for 5-gallon batches, and with so much power, you'll get your temperatures up even faster.

To get the Wort Chiller Connection Kit for free, add the item to your cart along with the Robobrew / BrewZilla and use code ROBOKIT at checkout.

Automatic Step Mashing!
One of the coolest features of the BrewZilla is the ability to program the unit with up to 6 individual temperatures and durations so you can step mash precisely how you desire. Simply press the "S1-S6" button to select the stage you want to adjust, and use the temp, time and +/- buttons to program the stage. If you have less than 6 stages in your mash schedule, program the stages you want to skip with 00:00 as the time and the controller will automatically move on to the next step. When all the stages are complete, the Robobrew will sound an alarm and hold the last set temperature.

The programmable stages can also be used to set a delayed start of up to 23 hours in advance so that you can have your water hot and ready to go when you get home from work or wake up in the morning. In order to do this, fill the unit with strike water and program the controller with two steps. Step 1 should be programmed at a temperature lower than the unheated strike water (so the elements will remain off), and the duration should be programmed for however long you want the delay. Then program Step 2 with your desired strike water temperature and a duration of 1-2 hours, giving the Robobrew ample time to heat up and giving you a margin of error in case you hit the snooze button the morning of brew day.

This very capable 15amp brewery has over 3 kilowatts of power so you can get up to boil in no time. 220V outlet required! The BrewZilla has been made with ultra-low watt density elements, which means less caramelization and also makes this unit capable of producing very light beers with very little maillard effect. This is also particularly useful for high gravity beers that can get some degree of scorching in other electric breweries with higher watt density.

Triple heating elements run off of a single 220 volt plug and have individual switches allowing for more control over the heating process. The elements are 2000, 1000 and 500 watts for a combined 3500 watts! Use all three elements when you need to ramp up the temperature quickly, either to quickly get to your mash temp or to rapidly go from your mash temp to boiling. Use only one of the elements when you want to hold a desired temperature.

Built in magnetic drive pump to easily recirculate the wort during the mash. We recommend getting some silicone tubing to go with the recirculation arm. This allows you more control over the recirculation and you can then use the pump to transfer your wort to your fermenter.

The digital control panel makes it easy to see the current temperature and set the temperature you want. You can also set a delayed start of up to 23 hours in advance so that you can have your water hot and ready to go when you get home from work or get up in the morning. The digital controller is also water resistant so don't worry about spills or some water dripping down the side. This controller is built for brewing!

The brewery also includes a stainless steel malt pipe with false bottom allowing you to easily shift from mash tun to boil kettle during your brew day. The malt pipe includes a handle to lift it from the BrewZilla and tabs at the base so you can set the malt pipe over the system to let the wort drain out. It also has feet at its base to raise the malt pipe slightly off the base and help prevent clogging.

The included stainless wort chiller is shipped with bare ends so you can set it up for your situation. We list below the most common tubing and fittings to connect to a hose, hose bib, or faucet.

What MoreBeer! loves about this product: Homebrewing is trending in the direction of all-in-one, all-grain brewing systems, but there are few options when it comes to brewing 10-gallon batches. The Robobrew BrewZilla not only allows for 10-gallon batches, but the cost is half of the next comparable system. We've brewed on all the systems and we can truly say the Robobrew series is the easiest to use. We feel confident that a lot of first-time brewers could buy this and use it with ease. At the same time, quite a few of our experienced, all-grain brewing staff are buying these units to brew at home. The BrewZilla is considerably compact for a 10-gallon system because the pump is built-in at the bottom of the unit. When not in use, the system can be packed up into a box that is 24" x 24" x 34" tall and moved around with ease, which makes it perfect for guys and gals that have space constraints. All in all a great buy and highly recommended. Please note you will need a few extra pieces of hardware to connect the wort chiller and at least 2' of silicone tubing for the sparge arm.

Use the Pump for More Than Just Recirculation!
One of the surprisingly handy features of the Robobrew is that the recirculation pipe features a female camlock. This allows you to hook up other accessories and use the unit's pump for more than just recirculating wort. With a male camlock and silicone tubing, for example, you can use the internal pump to push wort through a plate chiller or counterflow chiller. Check out our selection of camlock fittings here.

Can anybody show me a picture of the wiring of a US model? Is the board different? I have a AU model and would like to change the plug to a 220V US plug.
Angus Manford on Apr 18, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Not sure what board you are referring to. I stopped by an electrical supply store for a 220 plug. Told the guy what I was up to. He said they run on 50hz in some of those countries and our 60hz was likely to burn it up. I contacted kegland they said they thought it would be okay. I did and it seems to work fine. Still missing secondary screen, which is on parts list and not in box. Kegland decided to handle it by ignoring me. Had stuck sparge in first run.
What is the warranty & are the electric elements replaceable should they fail in the future?

What is the minimum batch size recommended for this set up? Would it be safe to do 6 gal batches in?

BEST ANSWER: Hi Coy - Take a look at this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Homebrewing/comments/98p6yr/robobrew_users_smallest_batch_size/

There shouldn't have a problem doing 6gal batches.

Great System with a Few Issues
Overall I liked upgrading to this system from my Grainfather. I brew only 5G batches at the moment and love being able to use my full water amount in the mash. Although this system handles doing a 5G batch I should warn users on a an issues I ran into. I wanted to use my Jaded chiller, but since there is about 3G of liquid under the filter plate at all time it only leaves another 3-4 exposed to where my chiller could get to. Only about half of the Jaded was submerged in the liquid. I would imagine this would be an issue with the included SS chiller as well. I am going to switch back to my plate chiller for the time being. The other issue I had was more of an annoyance. It would be fantastic if they could angle "cone" the bottom so all the liquid drains out. I spend lots of time mopping and sopping up debris and rinse water after a cleaning session. Otherwise, man can this thing heat up fast! To me the fast heating and ability to do no sparge is fantastic!

I can't say enough about this machine. I own a small brewery, and wanted something I could do 10 gallon batches on. This one does it perfectly, just set it, and walk away. An awesome unit

The unit does not have a lot of programmability and that is exactly why I like it so much! I never take it off of manual! I always thought the 220 was a problem but then I had this idea of getting an adapter in an extension cord for my clothes dryer and it works super easy without any added expense... Total no-brainer! Chiller is nothing but basic so purchase a 40 plate chiller... 185 degrees to 70 degrees in one pass direct into fermenter... Semi-Pro Brewer with up to a four barrel system and decided to try something simple... this is a perfect unit at a really good price... Highly recommended!
Tested twice and accurate to within 2 degrees
Mashing is super easy now
220? No problem! I bought an adapter and an extension cord from my clothes dryer plug in!!!
I have developed a new way of sparging that is highly effective using the recirculation pump...

BrewZilla works!
Great piece of equipment. Nothing at all wrong with it and it's all stainless, easy to clean, easy to use, and works well. I have the RoboBrew 30L edition and bought this as an upgrade. Love it. I did have to swap the HVAC plug for a round industrial one because I brought it to Brazil, that was an unexpected pain as I had to pause to go get, and install, an industrial receptor and change the plug. After that, super easy. I am showing a picture of both my electric kettles side-by-side. The BrewZilla you can't read the electronic readout at the bottom at an angle, this was a pain as you have to squat on the floor to see the temperature. From above you see all the LED readouts at once. You have to be at a very small angle to the panel to read it. The mash tun is also heavy, I bought the offered kit to lift it with a pulley. Make SURE you mount the pully at no angle to the mash tun. I used a tie off to wall brace and when I lifted it the mash tun pushed back and I couldn't release the pulley while the wort ran out of the cereal mash onto the floor behind the BrewZilla. That one was on me, but make sure you don't do it. Great machine, though!

Amazing
This thing is great. I really love the space savings, and the controller programming is simple. Set the mash water temp in the evening, then it was hot when I woke up. Did a full 12.5 gallon batch in about 3.5 hours.

Very pleased with the Brewzilla, it was well worth the wait. I've brewed 5 batches with it so far with no problems at all. Was missing the nut for the valve but Morebeer had it to me in a day.

Nice overall , but don’t expect perfection out of the box.
Nice large capacity upgrade to my Grainfather system. Already have a giant beer in the fermenter that was way too big for the Grainfather. There were some parts missing, so don’t plan a big brew day the day it shows up. I’m still waiting for the secondary screen for the malt pipe and I did have a stuck mash situation that the screen was supposed to mitigate. Quality seems really good. Exception is supplied length of silicone tubing. It’s brittle, my disintegrated. Expect to buy some elsewhere.
Silicone hose supplied with unit crumbled.
Nice large kettle. Made a huge beer with 20lb of malt with lots of room to spare.
