I'm getting into water chemistry to improve my beers. The kit includes everything I need for 50+ water tests and includes a PH meter (which I was looking to buy anyway).

Are probes on the pH meter replaceable?
Tracy Crenshaw on Jun 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The one that came with mine had a replaceable probe and I have since replaced it with no problems.
Does this kit come with ph meter storage solution?
Chris Herb on Nov 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It comes with storage solution pills that you dissolve in distilled water. Buy a gallon of distilled. You will need it for mixing that and the calibration solutions.
What temperature is the pH probe good to? A lot of pH meters are good to 125F, some are good up to 212F.
Brad Probert on Aug 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The operating temperature of the ph meter recommended by the manufacturer is 32 to 122 ° F (0 to 50 ° C), the important thing is always gauge at the sample temperature. According to manufacturer the temperature range of the meter is from 23 to 194 ° F (-5 to 90 ° C)

Not sure if this is worth it or just get a Ward Labs Test Kit
The test kit overall is decent. It does what it is suppose to and the directions are pretty clear. The sulfate test is VERY subjective and in my opinion doesn't really work. Although, maybe my sulfates are just that low. So, the kit lost a star for that reason.

That being said, I opted the the kit with the pH meter. My meter was defective and MOREBEER worked with the vendor to obtain me a replacement quickly and easily!!!!

Easy to use. I used the BrewLab to update my water profile. We’ll see how the beer turns out.

Dial in your brewing!
This works great. Easy to test. I have well water so mineral content can fluctuate. This is easy enough to test before each brew day. I got the set that comes with the PH meter. The meter is much better than the cheaper one I used to have. The probe is replaceable so you don’t have to buy a new meter when the probe goes and it will. Very simple instructions for the water testing and the ph meter.

Ain't Bad
Does what it's suppose to do. Wish this either came with more ph tablets or ph calibration solution.

Handy system
Simple to use. Instructions are also simple, however, I would have appreciated more info on the units of the results and how to convert them to use with different brewing software. For example, Beersmith does not take the test values in CaCo3.
Another confusing thing was according to instructions, during alkalinity test, the solution should turn green at first, but instead, it turned blue, so that made me doubt whether the solution in the container was the correct one.

Don't know how I lived without it
I know, it's a bit pricey. But demystifying your water will make your beer go from good to great. This is a very useful kit. Very worth the cost.

I was skeptical, but it made me a believer.
I was skeptical that all this "chemistry lab stuff" would be a real hassle, but it wasn't. Process was simple, didn't require any lab skills per se, and gave me confidence in the results. I was thinking it would be something crude like comparing a color tone like pH strips. But it's very specific and obvious color changes you see. You count the number of drops and then multiply by a scaling factor and you have your mineral content. It's great knowing it's designed specifically for brewing.
