tasty and convenient
Size grinds perfectly with barley, no need to change settings on my mill. Several brews with these have turned out great too.

Slightly smaller kernels?
I like the taste and head retention qualities of this product but lately it seems to be smaller than my base grain and I had to tighten the gap on my mill to keep my crush correct.

Makes Terrific Beers
I've done quite a number of batches using GW White Wheat Malt, for both wheat ales and for head retention. It gives a nice, light body when used at 20% or more, and yields a visually pleasing head when used at 4%. Lately, though, the kernels seem to be smaller than barley malt and I have found that I have to mill them finer than I normally would to maintain mash efficiency. Milling them separately, you quickly find out how much harder the kernels are than barley--my arm tired much quicker. It's worth the effort.

Great Product for Head Retention
I usually add somewhere 2-4 wt. % of this white wheat malt to most of my recipes to aid with head retention and it always seems to do the trick. I have tried many recipes with and without this addition and it has proven to have a noticeable impact on head retention without much of an impact on clarity and/or flavor. Would highly recommend using it if you are struggling with head retention and want a quick fix.

I am not big on wheat beers but I love the MoreBeer Citra ale recipe. I just used this white wheat malt to brew 10 gallons of all-grain Citra Ale. YUMMY!!! I can't wait for it to finish because it already taste delicious.
