Description

The FermZilla All Rounder is the most affordable pressurizable fermenter on the market. Although it doesn't feature a dump valve like the FermZilla Conical, the All Rounder carries the same pressure rating, making it an absolute steal if you're looking to ferment under pressure, perform pressure transfers, or want to carbonate and serve directly from the fermenter. The All Rounder is made from super smooth PET that's easy to clean, and the simple design means no nooks or crannies for microbes to hide. With a 4.75" lid opening, you'll have no trouble getting your arm inside to scrub away stubborn krausen rings. As with all FermZilla fermenters, the lid features molded drill locations that make installing accessories like a thermowell or Temp Twister Cooling Coil a breeze.

In order to unlock the full potential of the All Rounder, you'll want to pick up the 55L FermZilla Pressure Kit. The silicone dip tube will be a little long, but you can cut it shorter to the appropriate length. The pressure kit is available with either stainless or plastic ball lock caps.

Why MoreBeer! loves the All Rounder FermZilla:
  • Super smooth PET makes cleaning very easy.
  • Pressure rated lid and PET material make for a better oxygen barrier than fermenters made of HDPE.
  • Lightweight and easy to move around, yet strong enough to be considered shatterproof.
  • The 4.75" lid opening makes it easy to get your arm inside and clean after use.
  • The lid is designed for the easy installation of accessories such as a thermowell or cooling coil.
  • Price! A pressurizable fermenter in this price range is an incredible value, and it opens the door for many cold-side processes that can't be done in a normal carboy or plastic fermenter.

This fermenter along with the thermowell will be the next step up for me. Greater capacity, more precise temp control and room for expansion.

Does the thermowell work with this?
Adam Lowery on Jan 16, 2020
The widest part of this fermenter is 13.9"? It's hard to tell from the pictures if the holding rack sticks out further than the sides of the fermenter.
Derek Stanton on Jan 30, 2020
BEST ANSWER: If you look closely at the second and third pictures, notice that the stand is shown in two different configurations. Inserting the All Rounder into the wider base allows it to sit lower, but it's not wider than the All Rounder itself. Using it with the narrower base allows the All Rounder to sit higher. I've seen line drawings online that give exact width and height measurements for both configurations, up to both ball locks and the air lock. I'd insert a link but MB does not approve.
The manual says avoid lifting full but the manual is for the 30L & 60L. If you read the info on the handle it says 100kg (220#) limit. If this were filled to the rim it would be under 70#. I would need to lift this full by the handles if I purchased one. Do others lift this full by the handles?
Mike Goetzke on Dec 5, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I’ve never had to fill it to the top, usually it’s about 3/4 full for 5 gallon batch. However even 3/4 full I don’t think I’d risk it. The handles may hold that weight ( though I’m skeptical), it would be very awkward to lift this round ball off the stand, reposition the stand, and lightly set it back together. You drop that thing and you’ll have a major mess on your hands. I’d recommend finding a way to move beer from the fermenter by pressure to a corny keg and move it.
Will this insulating jacket fit the FermZilla All-Rounder 30L?

Insulating Jacket for 27L FermZilla
Insulating Jacket for 27L FermZilla
BEST ANSWER: It fits around it and zips down, however, it is about 6 inches too long and has to have the bottom rolled up like highwater pants to be used with the stand that the All Rounder comes with.
Is there a carrying handle included ornis the strap available?
Adam Lowery on Jan 16, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Hi Adam - the All Rounder 30L and 60L units include a stainless steel carrying handle similar to a carboy handle. There is also a carrying harness that will be released later this year, which attaches to the stand so the whole fermenter and stand can be picked up and moved at once (FE149).
Does the stainless steel pressure kit for the 55l work with this as well?
Adam Lowery on Jan 16, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it's the same kit for both. You'll want/need to cut the tubing shorter or else it won't work the way it's supposed to.

The All Rounder - better than the Fermzilla
The All Rounder is my favorite pressure fermentation vessel. I like it much more than the complex-and-hard-to-dismantle Fermzilla, especially since it is about 1/3 the price! Easy to use, easy to clean.

Unitank for the Masses
Ferment under controlled pressure, crash, carbonate, chill, serve from the top and even harvest yeast all using one tank. Well made at an affordable price. I use mine for rapid production of clean-flavored lagers and other lighter beers.

Great value
This fermenter allows me to capture the CO2 pressure toward the end of fermentation - essentially spunding without transfer as soon as a few points remain in the fermentation range...do not be afraid to use a wrench to tighten down the red plastic QDC's; a half turn is all it took for me to get to airtight. Using a floating dip tube allows clear pressurized transfer to keg with no effort.

Love it
I already have a Fermzilla Conical and wanted this as a secondary or just to add capacity up to 10 gallons. Having the pair is nice for closed transfers.

It works well. I use it with the pressure transfer kit and the cooling coil. It would nice if they made an insulating cover for it like the FermZilla.

Affordable way to pressure ferment
Awesome product. Lightweight, see-through, solid lid, easy to clean. Overall good. Had to tighten posts (the plastic carbonation posts from Kegland) with wrench to make it air-tight, maybe a quarter turn after hand tightening.

Using this as a keg as well. So far, no problem!
