The Duotight Flow Stopper is a handy devicie to use while filling kegs or when transferring between kegs during filtering or after fining. Simply attach the Flow Stopper to the gas post of your keg, then when the keg is full it will automatically cut off flow and prevent excess beer from exiting your gas post and spilling onto the floor.
For even better results, we recommend using the Flow Stopper with the BlowTie Spunding Valve. The BlowTie will enable you to apply head pressure to the keg, meaning you can control the flow speed and reduce the foam generated in the filling process. You will need a short length of 8 mm OD EVABarrier tubing to connect the BlowTie to the outlet of the Flow Stopper.

Can this be used if you have a checked gas disconnect?
Antonio Martinez on Apr 22, 2020
BEST ANSWER: No. The checked valve flows only into the keg. You will need to use an unchecked QD for this device.
When transferring uncarbonated beer to a keg, will this stop flow before the gas tube is submerged?
Jacob Bryant Fleener on Jan 15, 2020
BEST ANSWER: No...not at the exact moment it reaches the bottom of the gas tube But shortly after when it rises up into the flow stopper a.k.a. (a check valve) and causes the ball to rise and shutting off the flow to the keg. * you will have about 1 inch of head space left in your keg left.

take care
Will foam trigger flow stoppage, thus preventing a spunding valve from getting soiled? How vertical does this need to be to function?
Colin Kelemen on Feb 6, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Colin - This should actually be placed on the gas in side, before a spunding valve. We do recommend FE690 to throttle filling, but this can be placed after the flow stopper.

Can you use this with a sanke keg with the proper fittings?
Kenneth Graley on Oct 31, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Maybe, you would need the Sanke adapter (https://www.morebeer.com/products/sanke-flare-adapter-14-male.html) but you might to need to change out some of the tubing/connectors to get the proper angle.

Works great, allows walk away keg filling
Have used this for a few batches. Its easy to take apart to sanitize. I use a blowtie sounding on the output to regulate fill speed.

works well, I can now set up my pressurized transfers, walk away, and come back to a full keg!

Only wish I had gotten this sooner!

Simple, Awesome
I've tried many homemade versions (gas connector with tube to water bucket or daisy chain to 2nd vessel..

Was the DOD last month so I thought I would give it a try.

Excellent and cheap solution here for keg filling and transfering.

Pick one up!

Worked like a charm!
I had been using a gas disconnect combined with weighing the keg as I filled it to monitor fullness. This got me by for a while, but I was excited to see this product. It worked exactly as advertised and helped me fill a keg to the brim without any spillover which happened with the gas disconnect. One word of warning: ensure the tubes a all the way snug in the valves. If they are not it will leak.

Works like a champ - very little overflow, if at all
This will allow you to walk away when filling kegs. I brew 10 gallon batches regularly, so I have 2 kegs to fill from one large fermenter. I have used this with no fear of returning to a pool of liquid on the floor, anymore!
