Description

This Duotight Bulkhead is the same one used for installing the Temp Twister cooling coil into the lid of the FermZilla. Allows you to add a bulkhead to just about anything that can then be connected to with EVABarrier 9.5 mm OD Tubing (D1719) or 3/8" OD stainless or copper tubing. 

Duotight fittings are high-quality push-in fittings that seal tight and offer superior sealing capacity due to the double O-ring sealing design.

High Performance Double O-Ring Design:
The secret to Duotight’s superior sealing performance comes from the fact that they use not one, but two high-quality EPDM O-rings.  The double O-ring means they have literally twice the sealing surface when compared with other push-in fittings.  This makes them more reliable and significantly reduces the chance of leakage.

The double O-ring system also means that tubing can be bent at a much tighter radius without causing leaking issues, which can be an issue with other fittings.  This combination of factors makes Duotight the most reliable push-in fittings on the market.

EPDM offers excellent chemical resistance for a longer life span. When compared with silicone and vinyl, EPDM has much better gas transmission rates, better wear resistance, and is BPA-free.

No Clamps Necessary!
We recommend cutting your tubing straight, not on an angle, to ensure the line forms a complete seal. To remove the fitting simply push in the collet and the hose can be removed.

Please note: exposure to chlorine will degrade the acetal plastic and stainless steel these fittings are made from. Do not use in contact with bleach or other chlorinated cleaning chemicals.

BEST ANSWER: The major diameter of the 1/2in. BSP thread measures .790 (actual) on the Duotight bulhead I installed. I used a 13/16" (.8125") diameter on a step drill resulting in a nice snug fit.

Great for stainless CFC tubing
I bought the stainless version of the Exchilerator CFC and was surprised to find it came without permanently attached fittings to connect the stainless wort coil to plastic tubing. Looking to convert everything I can to duotight fittings, I found this and used it with the DUO122 fitting to create a water-tight seal between my CFC stainless steel coil and EVA barrier tubing. Take the metal nut off, slide this bulkhead fitting on the stainless tubing with the threads facing away from the end, then screw DUO122 on to this fitting and insert the EVA tubing into the DUO122. So much faster than my old system, very pleased.
