we used it in a pale ale recipe as we were looking for the mellow caramel flavor without a lot of color .

Great versatility! Always reliable!
A very reliable useful malt for many beer styles. My favorite, IPA, but can be used for Ambers & Stouts. Great versatility!

A trustworthy caramel malt
This is a solid caramel malt to use in many style of beers, my favorite times to use it are in American Amber and Russian Imperial Stouts. It adds a moderately deep sweetness.
