120° L Briess Malting - Briess Caramel, or Crystal, 120L is used in Red Ales and in beers where you want a heavy caramel flavor contribution. Will contribute deep red hues to the color of your beer. We usually put 1/4 to 1/2 pound per five gallons in Bock beers.

I love using this because a little goes a long way to make that orange and red hue that is prevalent in so many good beers - it doesn't add anything for flavor, but it will certainly give you a darker ale

Small doses
This caramel malt is great in small doses to add color to darker beers.

Great all around malt
When you need a deep caramel flavor this is the malt for you. I use this in my dark beers for that deep flavor it lends. I like it in stouts, scotch ales, porters and some brown ales.

Good fresh crystal
Way to keep it fresh MoreBeer. When you need 120L crystal you can't go wrong with this stuff.

Great dark crystal
Wonderful for when you want the most color and caramel notes of out a crystal malt. Starts to get a little toasty as well.

Mmmm, dark caramel
A nice dark amber coloring, a nice burnt caramel flavor, I use this for scotch ales on a regular basis.

Heavy caramel flavors. A great use in ambers, stouts, dubbels, etc.
