Description

Keep your fermentation temperature in check with the BrewBuilt CoolStix for 7 & 14 gal. X1 Uni Conicals! This cooling rod was custom designed for the X1 Uni with a wider tube to provide a higher level of cooling efficiency. Temperature control is one the most important aspects of a healthy, happy fermentation. When your fermenting beer gets too hot, the yeast will likely impart off-flavors that can easily overwhelm the taste of your finished beer. The CoolStix is easy to clean, easy to set up, and cools quickly and efficiently.

You will also need a cold water source to provide the cooling solution. For maintaining ale temperatures, a cooler or bucket of ice water is sufficient in most cases. For maintaining lager temperatures, we recommend using one of the Icemaster Glycol Chillers.

You Will Also Need:

  • Submersible Pump
  • Temperature Controller
  • 3/8" ID Tubing
  • Ice Bath or Glycol Chiller
  • 1.5" Tri-Clamp & Gasket

CoolStix Specs:

  • Diameter - 1.25"
  • Overall Length - 25"
  • Bottom of CoolStix to T.C. Fitting - 22.35"
  • Width from CoolStix to Barb - 6½"
  • Made from 304 Stainless Steel

Will this reach low enough temps in the 14gal uni conical, to cold crash?
Matthew C Bishop on Dec 16, 2020
BEST ANSWER: This will not be able to get the temperatures low enough for cool crashing.
Do these extend low enough in the fermenter to ferment half batches?
Nick Kastner on Mar 25, 2021
BEST ANSWER: I believe they would work for 7 gallon fermenter. I don’t know about the 14 gallon since I bought the 7 gallon size. My concern would be that you lose surface area in partial back ches
