Beverage Tubing (3/16 in. ID)

Beverage Tubing (3/16 in. ID)

Please select from the following option(s) to see pricing and availability.

This is premium beverage tubing that stays flexible even when cold. We use to sell a less expensive tubing but we were not satisfied with the performance on our own draft systems. We think it is definitely worth the little extra cost.

3/16" is the best size for most beer lines under 9' in length. Ideally, 5' provides the correct restriction for serving beer in the 8-14 psi range.

Technical Specifications: 3/16" line provides 2.2 lbs of restriction per foot. Ideally pounds of resistance should equal pounds of applied pressure. 3/16" line holds 1/6 of an ounce per foot. Made from PVC. 7/16" OD

"By the Foot" quantity ordered will be shipped as a single uncut length. Maximum length available is 100 ft.

Perfect sizing for feeding beer to tap out of keg. Much less bubbles than 5/16 I was previously using. I also use 3/16 for clearing filter and running clean water to my glass cleaner

If I am closed pressure transferring from chronical to keg at 1.5 lbs, what is the ideal length of beer line to use?
Scott Yaklofsky on Jan 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I would go with a bigger beer line personally for that transfer, then you can go longer distances with less restriction issues. I find a 7-foot line for this to usually be ample. Too short and gets frustrating, too long and the length slows it down.

Beverage Tubing
I am unable to get this soft, heavy wall tubing in NZ and so am very happy to be able to buy it from the States. It is lovely tubing to handle, especially because of its pliability, which is a feature I wanted and needed. It suits all of my John Guest fittings and if for some reason I have a diameter that is either too large or too small simply fit a John Guest fitting into the tubing (a stem straight hose connector) and onto that the JG fitting will certainly fit. The same with Swagelok: if necessary fit a tube adapter hose connect beforehand. As for service from More Beer: it is faultless. Couldn't get better.

Great tubing
Tubing is great. BUT, 5 feet is not long enough for 8-14 serving psi. You'll get a ton of foaming, especially when you try to fill growlers from a keg. I switched to a 10 foot line, and growler pouring has been a breeze.
