BEST ANSWER:the pump head is screwed on with butterfly hand tightened nuts and is made of plastic. I don't know manufacturers numbers but I would assume it's not terribly high tolerances.

This is not a top of the line pump but good for transfering liquids between vessels or sparging I used a clamp on my line to control flow seemed to work fine
I use this pump to recirc the wort during the mash. It has no problem in performing this role. I wouldn’t expect it to do much outside of that. Haven’t had any issue with it and cleaning is super easy.
