The Copper Pot Still now features male garden hose quick disconnects as opposed to barbed fittings. Our connection kit includes female quick disconnects and tubing for the coolant inlet and outlet.

Ready to dive into distilling, but unsure how to piece together your home still? Check out these complete systems that will set you on the path to producing high quality spirits. This kit comes with the 35L DigiBoil Electric Kettle and the Copper Pot Still Condenser.

The Copper Pot Still is perfect when you want the flavor of the wash to come through, whereas a reflux still is more favorable for producing pure, unflavored spirits. If you want to make whiskeys and gins, this pot still top is a great way to start! The classic "V" shape captures the vital esters, aldehydes, and phenolic compounds that are necessary for the complex spirits such as whiskeys and gins. Made from solid copper. When your hot spirit comes into contact with the copper, the copper acts like a catalytic converter to drive sulfur out of the spirit. This leads to less off-flavors and higher quality spirit.

Kit Includes:

  • 35L DigiBoil (110v or 220v)
  • Copper Pot Still
  • Distillation Lid & Gasket

I wanna replace those in/out head cooling fittings with half-inch hose barb. What size is the thread? And do you have those?
Frank Crow on Jun 19, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Hi Frank - the Copper Pot Still now features garden hose quick disconnect fittings instead of barbs. The QDs cannot be swapped out for barbs, unless you were to snip them off and replace them with compression x 1/2" barb fittings. Unfortunately, we do not carry the proper compression fittings to do this.
